Best summer required reading list ever 💕

Agree that Mary Jane didn’t get the hype it deserved. Such a gem!

You will LOVE One Golden Summer ☀️ Elin is the queen of the beach read for sure, Carley Fortune may be a princess 😉

Have you read Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan? Gives Nancy Meyers vibes. Her new one looks like a great one too!

On Fire Island by Jane L. Rosen is a great backlist beach read too!

These are all such great recommendations!!! I’ve read most but keep meaning to read Mary Jane so I may slide that up further on the list now.

If anyone needs to scratch the Elin itch but have read all of her books I recommend Mary Kay Andrews!

I think pleasure is what reading should be all about! I love Elin Hinderbrand, too, and recently read one of her books, but I can't remember the title. It was about a reunion of old friends at a woman's house after her husband dies. I really enjoyed it.

I also loved The Wedding People, it was so refreshing and different. I then read The Women by Kristin Hannah (another favourite) which I wouldn't call refreshing as it's about women in the Vietnam war, but it was a great read. My TBR is sky high, as usual, and growing by the day!

If you would like to take a chance on my romantic comedy, JUST LIKE A MOVIE, it's a romp of read set in Ibiza, about a romance between a world famous Spanish pop star and a slightly older woman. Originally published as Mucho Caliente by an American publisher years ago, I got my rights back in 2023 and republished it as JUST LIKE A MOVIE, mainly because people thought it was in Spanish! I've been compared to Marian Keyes, Helen Fielding, and some other famous American author I can't think of right now! If you'd like to read it I'd be happy to send you a copy :) Giggles and warm fuzzies guaranteed! My latest publication is a poetry book called Illicit Croissants at Dawn, which is witty, tender and uplifting, and comes with its specially curated playlist on Spotify!

Lots of love,

Francesca

I can vouch for the entire League Of Extraordinary Women series by Evie Dunmore. Her writing is brilliant. I prefer them to the Bridgerton books. SO happy to see Bringing Down The Duke mentioned here!

I also highly recommend Beatriz Williams’ Schuyler Sister series. I’ve read all of her books but that’s where I started. All great summer reads if you like historical fiction.

Elin our summer queen!!! Going to be so strange without her dropping a book this summer but I’m going to Nantucket to live her life instead. Have Blue Bistro on my TBR for that trip!!

Thanks for these recs! I've been in a major book rut so I picked up all three of your suggestions in the Fiction section at the library. You were right about Bad Summer People being filled with characters to hate; it ended up being a DNF for me. But I really enjoyed The Sweet Spot and am looking forward to diving into Mary Jane!

Oh, I could get lost in Elin's writing, I just feel this nostalgia take over me when I'm reading her books. Five-star weekend, Hotel Nantucket, 28 summers, Golden Girl, all just so bittersweet and fun for a summer delight!
